The Overview

The weather pattern is mixed, but fore PSM it is calm and clear. There will be rain north and south of us, but we will remain dry today. The rain comes through overnight and is gone by morning. The weekend is looking great with a wee threat of a sprinkle later Saturday afternoon. Otherwise, bring on the SPF and fore anyone on a treed location – bug spray.

The Radar Never Lies!

Our opening temperature starts at 10C(FL 9C) with brilliant sunshine. It will warm to 27C (FL 30C) in the afternoon and then cool to 12C (FL 11C) overnight. A start to the weekend!
Winds – this wind pattern across the province would confuse even the best of sailors in how to proceed. The winds are going in every direction. Here in PSM they are predominantly from the West at about 13kph– and this is good fore clearing the bugs out of Muskoka Highlands, but maybe not the tree lined courses.

The Bug Report – The wee air force has taken flight! The mosquitos are hitting high gear. But here at Muskoka Highlands, the ever-present breeze keeps them mostly in Bracebridge.

Allergy Index

The Allergy Index is HIGH. The plants have to grow now. And a big part of their initial growth is the release of their pollen – so there will be more plants next year – and honey!!

UV Index

The UV index is VERY HIGH in this brilliant sunshine. We will be on our flock of juniors to wear their hats!

Course Update

Golf is a great calming influence. We need more golf to keep the heads level as we approach this next pandemic currently rising in the US. Like the initial Covid18 reaction, we cannot dismiss the early symptoms of trouble. The time to deal with it is now. And it needs stronger leadership than we are seeing in some places. It is time for people to play their part. Step up or step aside. Change is coming.

We are starting to develop options for hosting golf events that will fund raise fore a community event. While the steak dinner is likely out of reach fore now, the playing of the event and awarding of prizes can be done on a flow through basis. Give Don a call at 705 646 1060 and we can discuss options. We believe the community cares about your commitment and will support you with the right options.

Are you of age less than 40? Ask about our graduated member programs. $10 per year under 26, $20 x age til you are 40. We know you need to keep some cash for living – so we have made this as affordable as possible. Call us – we will confirm this.

Determination and hard work will make you a better player. A lesson helps! Let us know – we have great programs from the beginner to the player.

Weddings are a special day for many people involved. Here at Muskoka Highlands, we reduce that stress with attention to every detail.
But our distinguishing feature is our setting – both inside and out. The clubhouse is designed to hold about 85 guests and the picture shows how this can happen. For larger parties, we engage a tent professional to create a unique setting outside.

Do you want to feel the warmth of a timber-frame clubhouse? Drop us an inquiry – weddings@muskokahighlands.com. We will respond and we will work with you to make your day special.

Muskoka Highlands is committed to your safety while you enjoy your game. Please read our COVID procedures BEFORE booking your Tee TimeLearn More
