A bit of a chill this morning – as close to freezing as we might want to get. The weather dog came in from his morning patrol and his belly is soaking wet so only the grass is wet. The Arctic air is still very much in our area. But the warmer sunny day will be welcome relief from the punishing rain we have experienced. It is looking clear fore a few days.
The cold weather wall remains in place going from Greenland, across northern Quebec and into Hudson Bay. Our cooler air continues to flow down from Hudson Bay meeting the warm air closer to us. It shows no indication of moving a
Our opening temperature starts at 3C(FL 2C) and will warm to 21C (FL 21C) in the afternoon and then down to a cool 11C (FL 11C) overnight. Back to the warm – let’s hope this is fore the season!
The UV Index
The UV index is high today with sunny skies.
The pollen Index is high – everything is in full bloom or past. The pollen is everywhere – just check the hood of your car! The allergy sufferers continue to sneeze!
The Bug Index
Who loves this weather? The bugs! The wet weather provides perfect breeding grounds for these wee raptors. Only not as much at Muskoka Highlands if the ever-present breeze is blowing!
The drainage pipes are exhausting significant flows indicating the rain has once again soaked the course. Today will see the flows subside, and then we will go back into the drying cycle.
Golf Hint fore today – watch your shot and pick a reference point where you think it stops. If this is a challenge fore you, play with someone who does. Time looking for a golf ball adds to the time fore the round.
