The Overview

Another quiet day on the radars. But the long range screen shows a system headed up from the Gulf of Mexico through the Ohio Valley. The first piece will arrive tomorrow but will likely stay south of Muskoka Parry Sound. However, early Wednesday the NE winds will deliver a second wave will give us another light covering of snow. We are edging towards Spring – says Wiarton Willie who doesn’t know how to spell Vortex!

The Radar Never Lies!

Our opening temperature starts at -1C(-4C) and it will rise to +3C (FL+0C) in the afternoon and then slip to -3C (FL -7C). Old Man Winter is rattling his weather sabre.
The winds start the day from the SW in the 10kph range and will swing to the North later in the day. Tomorrow it will continue on the dial through to the NE and an ill wind!

Road report – The road system is in great shape, and the sun and warm will keep them dry for your travel today. Keep the washer fluid topped as there will be streams coming from the banks on the curves.

School Bus Status

School bus report – no weather delays today!

Snowmobile Report

OFSC is reporting 23565 km of open trails. This warm stretch is all but closing the trails south of Hwy 7. There is some new snow mid-week which will help somewhat. But most of the sledding will have to happen in the North for March.

Ski Report

The Ski Hills are still in good shape with nearly all runs and lifts open. The bases look good which should carry them into Spring Break. Detailed info at onthesnow.ca/Ontario.

Course Update

There are 46 days til green grass. The sun and wind will be shrinking the snowpac closer to the grass. Your clubs will know this and will want to hit a ball. Do you? Is your game ready for the golf season? We know you are getting restless to golf and party. The golf bug bite will continue to itch and needs to be scratched. While getting warmer, it is still not warm enough to get outside and play. Nothing beats a few holes of golf with your family. The hi-def indoor simulator is operating and ready fore you and your foursome. Or bring 8 and play a two-person scramble with 4 teams. Times are full today so book now for tomorrow! The grass will be glad it has its snow covering as this weather hits. We continually monitor the playing surfaces – they are in great shape!

Dog Update – Hendrik is loving his space here at the highlands – and your boots when you come fore the simulator. He is a little impatient to see a golf course.Many visits begin now!

Wizard is in the Autism Assist program. The trainers love him as he is so huggable!
