The Overview

The second last day of August – a very quick passage of a month!! Are we back to normal? Not with the weather or our routines. But we try to keep to a normal life. The weather is back to sunshine, with the warmth slowly returning. With sun slipping down the horizon, the direct heat is less likely. So we are into layered existence – layer up in the morning, and start layering down as we get into the day. Radar is clear fore today. And tomorrow. And likely Tuesday.
This transition to Fall is an interesting time. Nobody knows more than 2-3 days out what will happen. It is all less than 30% chance of being right beyond that timeline. So we learn to live within the moment. Long range planning works for many things that are not weather dependent. Golf is weather dependent – so we stick to the facts and not conjecture on the weather.

The Radar Never Lies!

Our opening temperature starts at 10C(FL 9C) – cool this morning. It will warm to 19C (FL 19C) in the afternoon and then cool to 9C (FL 7C) overnight. Seems the wind chill is making a comeback!
Winds – the winds are one direction today – from the North. They try to get to the West during the afternoon, but fall back to the North overnight. All less that 9kph.

The Fire index

Fire Index –the index is LOW in our area. The rain and cool weather has eliminated any thoughts of a forest fire locally.

Course Overview

We are back into sunshine and some heat to kick-start the growth of new grass, and regenerate the existing grass. With 6 trees transplanted to direct line of sight on the 6th tee away from the neighbouring houses, we need this cooler weather to let them settle into their new homes. The sand is washing into where it has to go – on top of the new seed. The plan is coming together.

Are you wanting to get together with your group/club? We have a wonderful outside venue that can host over 100 people – with distancing. The 50 limit works inside our clubhouse with all of the procedures in place. Give us a call – we have safe and creative means to see people live!

Golf tournament cancelled? Call us – 7056461060 – we can host it safely with a new format that really works well. The charity you are supporting appreciates your efforts.

Determination and hard work will make you a better person. Golf is a wonderful platform to hone these talents.
