The Overview

We are dancing with an active polar vortex which has kept the cold close to home – the north pole. There is a term Arctic Oscillation which is well explained on the Weather Network. It is about the pressure systems showing low in the Atlantic off our coast, keeping the north in check with record breaking high ratings. This will make for calmer weather and reduce chance of deep colds returning for long periods. We are edging towards Spring – this motion seconded by Wiarton Willie who doesn’t know how to spell oscillation!

The Radar Never Lies!

Our opening temperature starts at -12C(-16C) and it will rise to +5C (FL+2C) in the afternoon and then slip to +1C (FL -3C). A brief glimpse of Spring.
The winds start the day from the SW in the 20kph range and will swing to the South later in the day. Tomorrow is the same with the winds ending up out of the North late in the day. Relatively warmer breezes for a wee bit!

A Special Day In A Wonderful Setting

Weddings are a special day for many people involved. Here at Muskoka Highlands, we reduce that stress with attention to every detail.
But our distinguishing feature is our setting – both inside and out. The clubhouse is designed to hold about 85 guests and the picture shows how this can happen. For larger parties, we engage a tent professional to create a unique setting outside.

Do you want to feel the warmth of a timber-frame clubhouse? Drop us an inquiry – weddings@muskokahighlands.com. We will respond and we will work with you to make your day special.
