People often ask us why we foster puppies only to give them back at a year. Our most recent graduate is Ellis – renamed Ancaster. His new owner and customer is Erin from Regina – and they have been together about 1 month now. They returned to Regina from training (Erin) in Oakville about 2 weeks ago. Here is her story (permission to print granted) – get the tissues – just a warning……
He did AWESOME on his first flight.. tucked himself right in no issues and slept the whole way
We now have more confirmation that he can sense something with my head before one of my episodes starts.. Bryan and I were out Saturday night at the casino (he did very well there also. Not distracted at all) and while I was playing a machine he sat up and looked at me… Cocked his head a couple of times.. I acknowledged him not really knowing what he wanted and got him to lay down. . I went back to playing and seconds later he got up and stood on my leg with his paws and looked me in the eyes.. I said ok bud..and got him off but he then placed his head on my leg not allowing me to get up.. a few minutes later my episode started.. if I had been standing or walking I would have for sure fallen. .
Ancaster(Ellis) is such an amazing incredible dog.. and you guys did and do an amazing job raising him and other’s. . THANK YOU so much he has already made my life so much safer! It’s nice to not be so scared to go out anymore. . It’s also nice for Bryan to not be so worried all the time.
First day of work.. and the result after.. I think he is tired lol what a personality!
