The Pinnacle of Summer Tourism is Upon us – What are your plans?
August 3, 2018 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
We live in a blissful state both in location and temperament. The events planned, the fairs about to happen all point to an energetic and engaged population. Sure our average age in Muskoka is moving up noticeably. Hence the activities change to suit this growing audience of participants. Hence Lawn Bowling here at Muskoka Highlands. Stay active. Stay engaged. Golf, Lawn Bowl, Foot Golf.
Our opening temperature at 630 is a temperate 15C (FL15C) – warming to 27C (FL34C). The warm moist winds are loaded with moisture and when they hit a cool front, we get wet. There is a reasonable chance of this somewhere in Muskoka sometime today. But don’t let this change your plans.
The UV will be 7 today with sunny skies.
The Air Quality Index is quiet at 1 reflecting the clear but humid air we are breathing
The Pollen index remains moderate with Plantain and grasses being the culprits.
The Pesky Fly Index is falling nicely reflecting the life cycle of the flies. We just don’t see any here at Muskoka Highlands!!
The Fire Index is back to LOW on the map – click the link. Please consult with your local town office to get the official word on burning. Parry Sound 33 is alive – and still threatening Killarney. The true extent of damage and loss will take some time to evaluate. The firefighters in all regions would appreciate caution with open flame.
We are into the Long Weekend in August – the pinnacle of summer tourism activity in Muskoka. We will be bustling with visitors. You will be looking for something a group can do. Maybe FootGolf here at Muskoka Highlands. Or celebrate your time together with a game of golf with your cottage guests. You might want our Cottage Pass (click here for more info). A great way to plan your golf season! And remember – you can bring your dog to Muskoka Highlands. It gets their walk in with yours!!
