The Overview
As Bob Dylan sings, “Fore the Times they are a changin’” (humm along) – and never before in my lifetime of 68 years do I remember anything like this Covid19. It is pressing our society to its social limits, and we are far from done. The next 2 weeks of virtual shutdown will be done in mixed weather as Spring tries to get into the room. We will have decent weather til Thursday when another front of rain moves in. It will be a relatively short burst, and the clear through. The temps will remain moderate, helping to eliminate heh snow remnants we have across the course. We will then have grass on which to walk ourselves, and we will be missing you as you might well have been able to safely wander about responsibly chasing the white ball. However, reports from some courses indicate that players ignored all requirements of distancing and responsible behaviour – thereby eliminating all of those who would have complied. Courses have been closed for this reason. We worry about your mental health and we hope you will be able to withstand the pressure of the next couple of weeks (or longer) within your own property. We will being wandering our back yard keeping an eye on things that need attention. We will resist the temptation to test out the playing surfaces to ensure they are properly maintained.
Encouraging news about Covid – have we started to flatten anywhere? Remain committed to self-isolation with a reasonable edge. There is lots of room in PSM for walking and other activities. Maintain your mental health. Help others keep theirs. Keep an eye on your neighbour – especially if they are elderly (remember – there are more Canadians over 65 than under 16).

The Radar Never Lies!
Our opening temperature starts at -1C(FL -4C) and will warm to +5C (FL +4C) in the afternoon and then chill to -3C (FL -7C) overnight. The sun and warmer temps will be welcome mental relief fore all.
Today the breeze comes from the North at <6kph. Then they swing to the East late in the day all the time around the 10kph. Tomorrow they start out of the SE moving to the South mid-day. The only certainty about the winds is that they will change direction daily.

Road Report
Road report – the rain through the night is now rinsing the dirt from the plows as they sit in their yards for a couple of days. No sign of active weather before Thursday.
Course Update
We are thinking about 16 days til we have to start to maintain the course. The rain overnight has increased the amount of grass you can see out on the course. Soon enough the course will be green. Then it just needs to warm to get the grass to start to grow more consistently.

A Special Day In A Wonderful Setting
Weddings are a special day for many people involved. Here at Muskoka Highlands, we reduce that stress with attention to every detail.
But our distinguishing feature is our setting – both inside and out. The clubhouse is designed to hold about 85 guests and the picture shows how this can happen. For larger parties, we engage a tent professional to create a unique setting outside.
