The Overview
So back in January, walking about in the blowing snow, we dreamed of the heat of Summer. Some even disappeared south to get into the permanent summer down there. Now we have Summer. In all its glory – and heat and humidity. So we crank up the air conditioners and look fore shade. How fickle we are as humans!! The good news is that the bugs can’t stand the heat either!! Enjoy summer at its finest today.

Our opening temperature starts at 19C(FL 20C) in the winds. It will warm to 31C (FL 37C) in the afternoon and then cool to 19C (FL 20C) overnight. This pattern is set fore a while…..

The Allergy Index is MODERATE. This heat is telling the plants to chill and hold on fore cooler weather. It will be here sometime soon – before December….
The Bug Index
The Bug Report – the air force is back but the heat will knock them back quickly. The blackflies are getting to the end of their first cycle. May there not be a second wave!!
The Fire index
Fire Index – the drying has begun and will continue this week. We are HIGH RISK right now. And this heat will rise that consistently through the week. It is extreme on both sides of PSM.
Course Update
The celebrations are over fore another year. No big clean up this year! But being Canadian is special. And not without its challenges. We need not look at other countries for challenges in dealing with inequities that came with making Canada what it is. While we cannot re-write history by tearing down statues or renaming schools, we can use these symbols as prods to remember that all was not done nicely. We are still the most polite nation in the world. And we will live with our history and our current struggles – eh?
