We are heading back to normal January starting warmer and cooling through the day. There is snowfall aound th edges of Muskoka but most of the roads are clear. 118 east of Bracebridge is snow covered at this time, but plows are out everywhere, just maybe not your sideroad yet.
Our opening temperature starts at -1C (FL -7C) and will start to slide throughout the day getting to -3C (FL -9C) in the afternoon and -6C (FL -13) overnight.
The UV index will be quiet today as the sun will be blanked out by clouds through much of the day.
The reflective index is strong as the remaining snow is one of the best mirrors for sunshine. Not sure sunglasses will be needed today!!
The Pond Index is at Strong. As always, caution is needed on any frozen surface. This next while might change the dynamics of the lake ice.
Road report – the roads seem good this morning in Muskoka. There are some partially covered roads north of Huntsville and some partially covered in all areas surrounding Muskoka.
