This might signal the turn of the weather worm. The flow of winds has changed to a more northerly push, bringing the warm Gulf air up to us. While we will still be less than 20C, it will be sunny and warming. This lets us feel summery and hopefully gets everyone outside to enjoy ourselves for more than one day at a time. The seeding window is close as the ground is warming nicely!
Our opening temperature starts at +8C(FL +8C) and will warm to +18C (FL +20C) in the afternoon and then down to +8C (FL +8C) overnight. Is the struggle to get good heat over? When the ground dries this week, it will support tractors working farm fields, and golf carts shuttling golfers!
The UV index is high today with sunny skies.
The index is high. Everything is in bud – here comes the pollen!
The course was dampened yesterday. Today takes us back into the drying cycle. With the heat, the ground will dry and the grass will respond. The course is undergoing a nice greening everywhere. The time to scratch your golf itch is now!
