The Overview

Sunrise brings hope – it is not raining for the first time in a while. Warmer drier weather for a few days is a good start. There is still unsettled weather on the prairies which usually ends up here in a few days. The only unsettling sign is the wind out of the north-east – it would be drier and warmer out of the southwest. Fore now, we will enjoy the sun and the warm as we try to dry out by letting the flood waters recede and the sun shine on the wet surfaces. Both will take more than 2 days – but it is a welcome start.

The rivers and lakes are starting to crest and shrink back to their normal banks.  Roads remain closed and river banks remain fragile. Caution is still top of mind.

Today's Temps

Our opening temperature starts at +5C(FL +5C)  and will warm to +15C (FL +15C) in the afternoon  and then down to +10C (FL +9C) overnight. Warmer and headed  to seasonally warm fore the weekend.

The UV Index

The UV index will reopen thanks to broken cloud cover today.

Pollen Index

The Pollen Index will start to register in these temps. The plants will poke themselves out – and hope it gets even warmer.

Course Update

The golf course will start to dry this weekend. It would be great to have double digit overnight temperatures to let the ground start warming which will awaken the grass which will absorb water. Recovery started. Let’s continue to hope for warm dry winds soon. GIve us 5 more days like today and golf will return.  Follow the count down to opening day here.
