From rain to snow to quiet. The radars show snow moving through and out of our region likely before you are reading this. All of that ice that developed with the rain yesterday is nicely covered in snow – aka ball bearings for your shoes. The roads show as snow covered so it is a go slower day. The turtle will get to their destination today – not so sure about the rabbit. That yellow orb that owned the skies this summer – well it is on holiday as well, snuggled behind the clouds for the day.
A great launch in Kazakhstan – another Canadian Astronaut!! Congrats to David Saint-Jacques.
A big thank you to everyone who made the Santa Parade in Bracebridge yesterday such a great and fun event in spite of the damp atmosphere that Mother Nature provided. It took a town to host this parade as there were likely as many people in the parade as there were watching! Amazing!
Our opening temperature starts at -1C (FL -5C) going to -1C (FL -7C) through the day into the evening.
The UV index might be back in the closet due to an abundance of cloud cover today. December – quit mirroring your older sibling November!
The Pond Index sits at Dangerous. Ponds and lakes are still not safe to enter for walking or skating. We are some time away from that.
Road report – the roads locally look somewhat poor. Snow covered so likely slippery as well.
