The Overview

The radars are split on today’s conditions. Weather Network has a storm through here at around 10AM though the day. IWeather has the storm stalled south of Barrie and not every getting here. Yesterday, IWeather called for light rain starting at 8PM, while Weather Network had rain here at 230PM. We are betting on IWeather – that it will be cloudy but dry. It seems there is a ridge of pressure keeping the rain South of us.

The Radar Never Lies!

Our opening temperature starts at 10C(FL 9C) in clouds. It will warm to 19C (FL 19C) in the afternoon and then cool to 10C (FL 7C) overnight. Double digit temps for the next 24 hours – here comes the new grass!!
Winds – remain out of the East in the 20koh range today – they are ill winds so we think rain should be coming. Tomorrow still out of the East dropping back to the 10kph range.

Allergy Index

The Allergy Index is MODERATE due to the light rain overnight. The warmer temps will bring a green flush to the region. It is interesting to watch the progression of the plants from Low to High and back to Low as they pass through the budding stage.

UV Index

The UV index is just MODERATE today due to the heavier cloud cover. This will change as the clouds move out tomorrow.

Course Update

Wee drive happiness. And that was never more evident than the last 2 days with the thank you’s flying about as if they were blackflies. The golfers thankful to play. The course thankful you are playing.
The golfers, fore the most part, are reading or Covid guidelines and are arriving appropriately and then cooperating with the spacing until they depart. Sure there is the odd Navy seal who wants to hang out of the cart – happened last year too. But we had our first holeinone on Saturday with Denver Dafoe dropping a 6 iron into the 7th hole – even with the hole being only 1/2in deep! Still waiting fore that beer!!

The Dogs

This young couple drove from Toronto just to play golf with their dog. Their quote “There is nowhere in Toronto we can play like this and give our dog a good walk” . Golf – healthy for your best friend!!
