Windows open, no furnace. We are officially warmer overnight. The warmer sunny day is a welcome continuation of the warming trend. It is looking clear fore the future, with some rain balloons on the horizon fore late Wednesday.
The Weather Network has released its Summer Forecast and it is a result of the cold weather wall in place going from Greenland, across northern Quebec and into Hudson Bay. Our cooler air continues to flow down from Hudson Bay meeting the warm air closer to us. This will give us unstable weather fore the summer months. But there will be lots of good times included – with some intense bursts coming through.
The Weather Dog
The weather dog came in from his morning patrol and his belly is soaking wet so only the grass is wet.
Our opening temperature starts at 11C(FL 11C) and will warm to 23C (FL 25C) in the afternoon and then down to a cool 13C (FL 12C) overnight. 5 degrees of separation from normal….
The UV Index
The UV index is high today with sunny skies.
The Pollen Index is high. The bees will be loving this. Honey production should be strong.
The Bug Index
Who loves this weather? The bugs! The wet weather provides perfect breeding grounds for these wee raptors. Only not as much at Muskoka Highlands if the ever-present breeze is blowing!
The Fire index
The Fire Index is LOWin this wet clime. It reflects the impact of Hudson Bay weather dominating Quebec and Ontario. The forest rangers in our area can relax – no sign of dry bush anytime soon.
We are into a drying cycle for the next few days. The rising sun will move the clouds away and give us sunshine. The course is drying – you can tell from the power carts bringing up less spray and being cleaner by the day.
Golf Hint fore today – putt with the pin still in the hole. This saves time taking it out and putting it back in. It acts as a target for your putt as you can see it out of the corner of your eye when over the ball.

A Drier walk today…
Did you know?
The best pictures I have, in my mind, are all of the young families headed to the range for the first time. New clubs, smiles of anticipation and nervous laughter when asked to not hit the cars on the highway about 400 yards away. All generations can play together. And if you would like to compete as a family on a fair basis, a handicap is just a click away. You can join your family and support the game with your Golf Ontario/Golf Canada memberships. We have them here fore you.
Get Golf Ready
Getting ready for this great game starts at all points in your career. If you are a-non-golfer, thei program takes you from the parking lot to the 19th hole and all points in between. It is $99 for the 5 sessions, and $149 if you want to add 5 nine-hole rounds in with your package.
