The Overview

Now that is cold! Just in case we were thinking that the cold was done, Mother Nature brought it back for a quick visit. The shifting winds will bring the not-so-cold temps back. But with that, we will get snow late tomorrow clearing by Sunday morning. The roads are in good shape in our region and the off-roads are in better shape for sledding. Travelling in the bush is somewhat easier with the slim snowpack in there. This bodes well for a calm melt shortly. Near-zero temps return on the weekend.

The Radar Never Lies!

Our opening temperature starts at -30C(-30C) and it will rise to -13C (FL-18C) in the afternoon and then dip to -14C (FL -22C) overnight. Winter is punching back – til tomorrow.
The winds are a light breeze (thankfully) out of the North at 6kph. This keeps the wind chill to nil, and signals the change in weather. Late today, the winds will shift back to the south, moderating the temperatures once again and bringing the warmer moist weather back from the south.
