Another great Fall day today – starting with frost, with temperatures rising to mid-teens and then a warmer night. We live on the 45thparallel and we know the earth is tilting away from the sun – as it has done for millions of years. Yes the chillier weather will be mixed in with the late summer-like conditions giving us layerup layerdown days til next April.
As I look around at the beauty and the bounty in which we live here in Canada, I am thankful to be born and raised here. As I watched parts of the debate in the US – this thankfulness was reinforced. But mostly I am grateful for being able to live as we have as a family here in Muskoka and beyond. If you haven’t had or taken the time to think about Thanksgiving – try to do it today. Be it on a walk or a ride home. You will amaze yourself with the good things that happen with and for you right here in Muskoka.
I look forward to golfing this morning later on – when the chill has been replaced with the warming rays of sunshine. Sure the golfing days are numbered. We know this when we get this close to the Ron Babcock Memorial 2Man Fall Classic. Pictures of heaters in covered carts come to mind.
And then on the first weekend in November – we plan for the Tombstone – so the Fall planning is in full swing. We will be open here at Muskoka Highlands until Mother Nature closes us. And then we open our high definition golf simulator in our clubhouse for the winter months. You have 12 months of golf right here in Muskoka when you play at Muskoka Highlands!!
