The Overview
The discussion around mental health is now growing around the world. In the hardest hit countries, they are in for yet another 2 weeks of lockdown – and they started before us. The key word coming out is that people need to get outside. They cannot stay inside fore much longer. This is a marathon, and we are likely past the halfway point, but not near the finish line. We need to buckle down for the next 2 weeks and watch the numbers fall. But, people need to spend their emotional capital every day. Before C19, we could do this vicariously through our sport heroes by watching them on TV while remaining isolated. The sport channels, including golf, have used the re-run option to satiate this need. But the challenges continue to grow. While we joke about it, couples and families have likely not spent this much time together – ever. In the past, there were options like a round of golf to at least change the venue, if not the partners for a while. In golf, we have advocated to keep courses functioning on a safe level so that people have a release. This is not for everyone, but it can be for many. Bike riding, walking are advocated – not in groups. Sitting in driveways separated but chatting seems to be ok. This all blends in golf. And we are trying to figure out how to bring this to you soon. But until we can do this safely, we remain in the planning mode. And we need you to prove this can be done safely when we get to try it.
Remain committed to self-isolation with a reasonable edge. We are blessed that there is lots of room in PSM for walking and other activities. Maintain your mental health. Help others keep theirs. Keep an eye on your neighbour – especially if they are elderly (remember – there are more Canadians over 65 than under 16).

Course Update
We have been finding lots of golf balls in the roughs – they are popping to the surface of the matted fescue. Not many are Titleist balls. Which means that fewer Titleist have been lost than the other brands. Nothing says new golf season like a new batch of golf balls. We have our e-commerce portal where you can purchase the 4 4 3 Titleist ProV brand of golf balls as a Spring Special. We also have Callaway with the same offer at this time.
Golf ebooks will be on our site by week’s end. If you can’t actually golf, you can read about golf. And if you want to mentally play the course, you are welcome to pre-pay some rounds and dream that you are using them every day!
Are you of age less than 40? Ask about our graduated member programs. $10 per year under 26, $20 x age til you are 40. We know you need to keep some cash for living – so we have made this as affordable as possible. Call us – we will confirm this.

A Special Day In A Wonderful Setting
But our distinguishing feature is our setting – both inside and out. The clubhouse is designed to hold about 85 guests and the picture shows how this can happen. For larger parties, we engage a tent professional to create a unique setting outside.
Do you want to feel the warmth of a timber-frame clubhouse? Drop us an inquiry – weddings@muskokahighlands.com. We will respond and we will work with you to make your day special.
