The Overview

Looking out the window you might think wet weather is coming today. It is coming overnight. Rain will arrive late tonight, and Monday will be a gong-show of weather. Your walk is still a go today. Layer up – out in the winds is different than sheltered in a forest. You will likely be inside much of tomorrow and much of Monday.
Remain committed to self-isolation with a reasonable edge. We are blessed that there is lots of room in PSM for walking and other physical activities. Maintain your mental health. Help others keep theirs. Keep an eye on your neighbour – especially if they are elderly (remember – there are more Canadians over 65 than under 16).

The Radar Never Lies!

Our opening temperature starts at -1C(FL -4C) with light snow and will warm to 1C (FL -2C) in the afternoon and then chill to -0C (FL -4C) overnight. The chill rules.
The winds will be out of some version of West at 20kph+ today slowing somewhat as we get into the evening. Late tonight, the winds will shift to the south, bringing in rain with them early Sunday morning. Late tomorrow they will shift to the East – as we all know what this means – duck!

Course Update

The winds will continue to chill the idea of being outside. But we can call it fresh and enjoy the change. It will get more intense on Monday – so best to get outside today and tomorrow if need be. Is this a plot by Mother Nature?

Even without legal restrictions, we might not be golfing today. That does not mean our phone does not ring a few times every day to ask if we are open – we are always open first! But wait – we still need to restore our ball inventory. And new balls mean a new season. We have our e-commerce portal where you can purchase the 4 4 3 Titleist ProV brand or the Callaway brand of golf balls as a Spring Special. Golf ebooks will be on our site by week’s end. If you can’t actually golf, you can read about golf. And if you want to mentally play the course, you are welcome to pre-pay some rounds and dream that you are using them every day!

Are you of age less than 40? Ask about our graduated member programs. $10 per year under 26, $20 x age til you are 40. We know you need to keep some cash for living – so we have made this as affordable as possible. Call us – we will confirm this.

Think outside the normal golf tournament box. We have great options involving FootGolf and LawnBowling that can involve the non-golfer in your event! Call us – we some unique concepts.

Course Wildlife - not the ones on the carts!

Golf courses are a nature preserve where we get all sorts of animals cruising about. You never know what you will see – keep the camera ready! With the ponds just about clear of ice, these birds are back and it is wonderful to see!!

The Dogs

Hendrik likes this view. He is loyal and stays around home. He keeps our Cortisol (stress levels) in check and fore this we are grateful. With the ponds now open, he is quite happy to watch any activity on them.

A Special Day In A Wonderful Setting

Weddings are a special day for many people involved. Here at Muskoka Highlands, we reduce that stress with attention to every detail.
But our distinguishing feature is our setting – both inside and out. The clubhouse is designed to hold about 85 guests and the picture shows how this can happen. For larger parties, we engage a tent professional to create a unique setting outside.

Do you want to feel the warmth of a timber-frame clubhouse? Drop us an inquiry – weddings@muskokahighlands.com. We will respond and we will work with you to make your day special.

Muskoka Highlands is committed to your safety while you enjoy your game. Please read our COVID procedures BEFORE booking your Tee TimeLearn More
