The Overview

Hello June – wonderful to meet you fore another year. You have to undo May’s departure gift and bring us back into warmer climes. This will happen gradually this week. But as the warm pushes the cool out of our region, there will be the normal tears falling on us. Rain will arrive later tonight and into the early morning tomorrow. It will be mostly clear tomorrow. There is a front trying to get here from the SW but it looks like it will be restrained by some NW winds on Tuesday.

Bug Report

The Bug Report – the chill has put the air force into hiding. These warmer temps will bring them back out of the bush! But here at Muskoka Highlands, the ever-present breeze keeps them mostly in Bracebridge.

Allergy Index

The Allergy Index is HIGH. The rain knocked some out of the air – but then it brought on the next surge in growth. The cooler temps have chilled the release!!

UV Index

The UV index is VERY HIGH in this light cloud cover. It will be somewhat cool but with the sun it will feel warmer.

Course Update

So it is June. And we would normally be seeing lots of cottage groups of lads and lassies up for the weekend of reconnecting. This will not happen as much this year. But we are seeing lots of families and younger golfers headed to the range to try this sport. And with schools out, there are few activities for students to get physical activity. Our junior ranks are growing quickly with our reasonable membership structure. And they are playing! The sport is popular and growing. Good to see – great to be a partner with you in making this happen.

We are starting to develop options for hosting golf events that will fund raise fore a community event. While the steak dinner is likely out of reach fore now, the playing of the event and awarding of prizes can be done on a flow through basis. Give Don a call at 705 646 1060 and we can discuss options. We believe the community cares about your commitment and will support you with the right options.

Are you of age less than 40? Ask about our graduated member programs. $10 per year under 26, $20 x age til you are 40. We know you need to keep some cash for living – so we have made this as affordable as possible. Call us – we will confirm this.

Determination and hard work will make you a better player. A lesson helps! Let us know – we have great programs from the beginner to the player.

Course Wildlife - not the ones on the carts!

Golf courses are a nature preserve where we get all sorts of animals cruising about. You never know what you will see – keep the camera ready! These modern age dinosaurs wander the course daily – do not attempt to pet them…

A Special Day In A Wonderful Setting

Weddings are a special day for many people involved. Here at Muskoka Highlands, we reduce that stress with attention to every detail.
But our distinguishing feature is our setting – both inside and out. The clubhouse is designed to hold about 85 guests and the picture shows how this can happen. For larger parties, we engage a tent professional to create a unique setting outside.

Do you want to feel the warmth of a timber-frame clubhouse? Drop us an inquiry – weddings@muskokahighlands.com. We will respond and we will work with you to make your day special.
