The Overview

Mother Nature is a cruel tease. She invited Old Man Winter in fore a visit – this is not weather social distancing! Snow will blast through in the wee hours of the morning, leaving behind snow streamers fore the day. Keep the faith – this will change and we will open the golf course soon. Just when – we are betting on early May – maybe before the general shut-down order is lifted. Just like any marathon, the finish line is there, just not yet in physical sight. But we will get there – together.
Kudos to everyone who has towed the line on staying at home as much as possible. It has worked to the point the leaders are mentioning golf in their discussions. We are working with the provincial government to get courses open at some point in the near future. Think May 5th – and find the online petition on Facebook to sign. The more names the better. The grass is green. In the mean time, keep an eye on your neighbour – especially if they are elderly (remember – there are more Canadians over 65 than under 16).

The Radar Never Lies!

Our opening temperature starts at 0C(FL -6C) in bright sunshine. It will hold at 0C (FL -2C) in the afternoon and then cool to -6C (FL -13C) overnight. Dropping back down the weather roller-coaster.
The NW winds are in control at 30kph. They will push through a snow front overnight and continue as random snow streamers through the day.

Road Report

Road report – The roads in the lee of GBAY are an anthill of activity. It is doubtful you can drive very far on the major routes in MPS without seeing more than one plow. This will likely remain in this condition through tomorrow. But we think this is the finale. We hope to replace the road report with a Fairways report soon.

Golf courses are a nature preserve where we get all sorts of animals cruising about. You never know what you will see – keep the camera ready! With the ponds just about clear of ice, these birds are back and it is wonderful to see!!

The Dogs

Hendrik likes this view. He is loyal and stays around home. He keeps our Cortisol (stress levels) in check and fore this we are grateful. With the ponds now open, he is quite happy to watch any activity on them.
