The Overview

And so the weekend begins – under heavy clouds that will clear our zone mid-morning. There is rain to the north of Bracebridge which will pass this morning. This afternoon will herald clear weather into tomorrow. There will be heavy rains Orillia and south through the morning. The weekend is looking good for all outdoor activities.

Our opening temperature starts at 18C(FL 20C) with cooler air early this morning. It will warm to 23C (FL 28C) in the afternoon and then cool to 14C (FL 14C) overnight. A humid day here at Muskoka Highlands.
Winds – the westerly breezes at 9kph will be here fore today – just enough to keep things cooler.

The UV index is HIGH today with the clouds clearing the zone mid-morning.

The Allergy Index is HIGH. With Ragweed staying at the top of the chart. The mold index remains HIGH – fresh fruit is short lived – enjoy!

The Bug Index

The Bug Report – the rating is MODERATE – their time is passing. Still a few flying about but nothing swarming us. House flies seem to be the bother now – sticky strip time

Sunrise – 6:27AM, Sunset – 8:12PM. Daylight slips through the hourglass.

The Fire index

Fire Index –the index is LOW in our area. The rain has dropped the rating, and intermittent rain now will likely keep it in the low to moderate range.

Course Overview

Overnight rain is the best rain. The moisture is good fore the course as it moves the topdress sand into the places it has to go, and encourages the grass to grow through this healthy environment. Overseeding will continue next week and the fairways will be aglow with new grasses this Fall. With the delay in opening of schools, we expect to be busy through to snow-time. Did we mention snow?
