The Overview

You know we are getting odd weather when the weather map looks like an impressionist painting of Ontario. We have had rain for a good portion of the early morning. Without the temperature changing that much, we will transition to snow later this morning and the snow will stick with us through tomorrow. Travel could be a challenge but the plows are out to the East of the 400 highway route. Fire and Ice is on today in Bracebridge and the tube slide should be pretty quick! Enjoy the walkabout – a tremendous effort by the volunteers to make this work.

The Radar Never Lies!

Our opening temperature starts at +1C(FL -4C) and it will “rise” to +1C (FL-2C) in the afternoon and then drop slightly to +0C (FL -4C) overnight. Those winds from the SE are bringing ill-tempered weather fore January.

The winds are still unfriendly fore today. They will be from the East at 20kph today, and then swing to the SW late tonight. They will continue to migrate around the compass and end the day tomorrow out of the North.

Daylight Hours

Sunrise – 7:44AM, Sunset – 5:14PM. We have gained 137 seconds of daylight since Winter Solstice. 55 days to Spring Equinox – March 20th.

Road Report

Road report – The plows are out across the province north and east of Highway 400. The weather in this region will keep them busy fore most of the day.

School Bus Status

School bus report – no cancellations – luckily it’s the weekend!

Snowmobile Report

OFSC is reporting over 17700 km of open trails. The trails are open around Algonquin Park in an ever increasing radius. More trails will open as we can expect more snow North of PSM. Let’s hope this rain does not do too much damage to the base of the trails.

There are 75 days til green grass. We know you are getting restless to golf. Tiger is back on the prowl at Torrey Pines. The golf bug bite will continue to itch and needs to be scratched. You can play Torrey Pines today – along with Tiger who will be on the TV behind you.  The hi-def indoor simulator is operating and ready fore you and your foursome. Book now! It is time to start getting the swing in shape fore opening day, or before you might be headed South fore a golf trip. Call the clubhouse 7056461060 to book your time.

The weather headed here fore the weekend is not great for golf courses. The mix of rain, freezing rain and snow will add a layer to that already down. Time will tell.

The Simulator is Open!

When the golf bug bites and you can’t find a tee deck open anywhere, what do you do? You head to Muskoka Highlands where we have a state of the art hi-def simulator at the ready fore your game. With over 20 courses, we have a course fore everyone. And if you want a gathering with golf involved, we have all sorts of games on the simmy that your entire group can play. Where do you think we have taken you fore this hole?

A Special Day In A Wonderful Setting

Weddings are a special day for many people involved. Here at Muskoka Highlands, we reduce that stress with attention to every detail.
But our distinguishing feature is our setting – both inside and out. The clubhouse is designed to hold about 85 guests and the picture shows how this can happen. For larger parties, we engage a tent professional to create a unique setting outside.

Do you want to feel the warmth of a timber-frame clubhouse? Drop us an inquiry – weddings@muskokahighlands.com. We will respond and we will work with you to make your day special.

Muskoka Highlands is committed to your safety while you enjoy your game. Please read our COVID procedures BEFORE booking your Tee TimeLearn More
